Job Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance, repairs on Metrology equipment and systems in the application lab
• Use manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus, Temp calibration wafer, data analysis/programming equipment and gas detection monitoring equipment.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions
• Works with little or no written procedures on the installation and support of prototype equipment.
• Provides technical training for process technicians on hardware maintenance.
• Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Assists with taking actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Requires sufficient technical familiarity with semiconductor metrology tools and techniques to manage vendors and interact efficiently with vendor field service engineers when need arises to help deliver maximum asset availability
• Tool sets include: Ion-beam assisted silicon sample-preparation techniques, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and Critical Dimension-SEM (CD-SEM). Experience with Review SEM and other metrology instruments helpful.
• Experience with TEM lamella ion polishing/preparation equipment, i.e, cleaning and recovering delicate high-vacuum equipment preferred (includes maintenance of ion or electron guns)

Minimum Qualifications

Other Job Responsibilities

• AAS degree with 5 or more years of experience, BS degree preferred
• Experience of maintenence and trouble shooting experience in Metrology equipment is must
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Moderato level of English communication skill
